How do You Get to “Heaven”? Visit El Cielo Cozumel

“Heaven will be inherited by every man who carries heaven in his soul.” – Henry Ward Beecher.

Are you looking for heaven on Earth? We have a beautiful secret place for you, it’s very close to Cancun and Playa del Carmen, right on the “Island of the Swallows”: El Cielo Cozumel. There are not enough words and images to make you feel the magic that emanates from this place. We’ll give you just a taste of El Cielo Cozumel to encourage you to explore this spectacular corner of the Mexican Caribbean.

“Seek not outside yourself, heaven is within.” – Mary Lou Cook.

You’ve probably heard of Cozumel, a beautiful tropical island that is famous among diving enthusiasts and an obligatory stop for the cruise ships that cross the waters of the Mexican Caribbean bringing millions of travelers each year to this exotic paradise.

I believe that if one always looked at the skies, one would end up with wings.” – Gustave Flaubert.

Many of these travelers only take a stroll along the boardwalk and visit downtown Cozumel to go shopping, or they rent a vehicle to take a quick tour of the huge island. Very few discover the best kept secrets of the island, the reefs of Colombia, Palancar and El Cielo Cozumel.

Cozumel is in itself a tropical paradise that is worth a prolonged stay. The island has an ideal  climate practically all year round and its crystal clear waters offer perfect visibility both for those who will have their first snorkeling tour in Cozumel, as well as for experienced divers. There is no excuse not to take a look at the second most important coral reef in the world: The Great Mesoamerican Reef. There is even a submarine tour in Cozumel!

One of our favorite places on the island is El Cielo Cozumel. The only way to reach this point located at the southern tip of the island, near the Columbia Reef, is on board a boat and accompanied by a certified guide. Here the water level is shallow, at some points only waist-deep. El Cielo Cozumel is the ideal place to relax with a drink in your hand while you contemplate the nature that surrounds you.

El Cielo Cozumel is not only called that because it looks and feels like a real paradise, but because of the large number of starfish that have made this glorious sandbar their home. You only have to put on a mask, snorkel and fins and swim a few meters to encounter a spectacular scenario. You may also have the opportunity to see stingrays that seem to go up the flight between the stars. Do not forget to bring your waterproof camera to capture incredible photos!

Add the unique adventure of a tour to El Cielo Cozumel to your vacations, disconnect yourself from everything and everyone and immerse yourself in a paradise you will never want to leave! After snorkeling in El Cielo and in Arrecife Colombia you will enjoy the Playa Mia Cozumel club with buffet lunch, open bar and non-motorized activities included.
